Breaking the Glass Perception
Some believe that American-made glass is superior to Chinese glass. However, this is often a misconception. As the world’s manufacturing hub, China is fully capable of producing top-quality products for high-end brands, including premium water pipes like those from GRAV and ROOR. Of course, if your priority is cost-effectiveness, that’s another area where we excel. Ultimately, the quality of products made in China depends primarily on the buyer’s requirements and budget.
That said, we recognize that not all manufacturers deliver the same quality, even with similar budgets. The difference often comes down to experience, time in the industry, and company values.
Many of our customers establish long-term partnerships with us after purchasing our products. Once we get to know each other better, they often share how happy and reassured they feel working with us. Before finding us, many of them had contacted other water pipe manufacturers and ordered samples. Some of those samples were not even fit to be displayed in their stores, while others seemed fine initially, but when larger shipments arrived, they were disappointed by the quality issues.
Even some Chinese trading companies have reached out to us, despite being based in China themselves, as they also face challenges in finding reliable manufacturers. One trader shared an experience where they purchased two bong samples that looked fine on the table one evening, but by the next morning, the joint of the bong had cracked. This was due to the use of poor-quality glass that developed microcracks, which eventually expanded. Some of other water pipes they encountered were poorly crafted, most notably with visible seams around the joints, making them look like defective products. However, many manufacturers wouldn’t admit this was due to their production methods or experience, instead claiming it was “normal.”
When these customers found us, they were pleasantly surprised. Despite our similar pricing, our water pipes stood out with thicker glass, flawless joints, and exceptional clarity. Hearing their praise motivates us to stay true to our values of honesty and quality.
